A Dráva-mente nagyon kevés fekete nyár ligeterdeinek talán legszebbike, hasonlóan értékes és ritka a természetes fűzliget is a hullámtéren. Mindkettő felhagyott erdő, tájidegen fafajoktól (többé-kevésbé) mentes. Kis mérete és megközelíthetetlensége (a folyó horvátországi oldalán található) miatt kutathatósága is erősen korlátozott.

"This reserve is perhaps the most beautiful riverine black poplar forest of the very few ones of Dráva-mente, the natural riverine willow woodland is similarly valuable and unique on the floodplain. Both of them are abandoned forests, they are free of non-native species (more or less). Due to its small size and inaccessibility (it is located on the Croatian side of the river), the research of the reserve is strongly limited."
